Scaw South Africa’s Eclipse East plant foundry has introduced an innovative new concept in high quality grinding media to suit many grinding applications. The Ellipsoid offers a combination of the best grinding and wear properties in comparison to traditional slugs and cast iron balls.
- Theses products are chill cast using a continuous casting technique ensuring superior micro-structure through rapid crystal growth which reduces media consumption and ore contamination.
- The products are available in low and high alloy grades in sizes 40 mm, 54 mm, 73 mm and 96 mm.
